Forum and Lesson Policy Rules - READ CAREFULLY

Registration to this forum is free! I do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below. If you agree to the terms, please check the 'I agree' checkbox and press the 'Complete Registration' button below after you have read all the rules. Taking lessons at Lee Gattenby Music works like this:

  1. Register for the forum.
    • The forum has many tools that enhance the learning experience. These tools are covered in depth once you are a paid subscriber.
  2. Subscribe for lessons from your User Profile. You will have the option of purchasing Private or Group Lesson Hours.
    • Subscriptions are billed automatically each month via secure paypal link. The billing cycle for automatic payments is every four weeks. Manual payments are due at the beginning of the month. All payments (automatic and manual) are paid up front each month.
      • Once you have purchased hours I will schedule time slot(s) for lessons. Use the contact link at the bottom or call me directly (907) 252-5347. Leave a message if I do not answer.
      • For example, two (2) hours of lessons can be scheduled 1/2 hour a week or 1 hour every other week.
      • You can mix and match Group and Private lessons. For instance you could pay for three (3) hours of Private and one (1) hour of Group lessons. Lessons can be spaced out once a week in this manner
    • Subscribers will have access to the exclusive content area. Basically this section of the forum is private, only viewable by paying students.
    • Non subscribers will still have access to the Open forum. Content there is limited, however I will do my best to answer questions when time and resources permit.
  1. Student lesson reschedule/cancellation policy.
    • I must be notified prior to 5pm the previous day by phone or email (messages must be prior to 5pm). The students lesson time will be moved.
      • If I am not notified prior to 5pm the previous day, the lesson not be moved. HOWEVER, the student will have their lesson given to them via their forum account. Remember, students have full access to their instructor through the forum!
      • I understand that things happen. Snow storms, wild animals, etc. I am flexible in this area and will work out an equitable arrangement schedule permitting.
    • Ending or changing subscriptions must be done from the students User Profile.
      • If you have problems, please contact me and I walk you through it or I can do an electronic refund very easily.
  2. Teacher lesson reschedule/cancellation policy.
    • From time to time I will call to reschedule. I will try to do this at least 24 hours in advance if I going to move a time.
      • If I do not reschedule I will give the student the lesson via DVD or CD recordings. I will still be available to the student via the forum.
  3. Late policy.
    • Call if you are going to be late. If I do not receive a call up to 15 minute into the scheduled lesson time, the student for that lesson will be considered a NO SHOW. I will post the lesson plan to the students forum account.
    • If you show up for an hour lesson 15 minutes late, the lesson will be 45 minutes. Remember, students have access to their instructors via the forum.
    • No call/No show. Things happen, I understand. However, please understand that I am still here prepared to give a lesson. The policy for this is the students lesson will be posted to their forum user account.
  4. Home school Reimbursements
    • Each of the home school providers are aware of my billing system. Remember, you are paying for one-on-one lessons as well as online access!
      • The methods that I use here are the same as used by the Berkley School of Music and their online teaching program. I myself am a product of online music education.
    • You can print out your subscription invoice from Pay Pal or request one from me. If you request one from me, please allow 24 hours for me to email you a copy of your requested invoices via .pdf file.

    Although the administrators and moderators of LG Music Forums will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this site, it is impossible for us to review all messages.
